But on the first day of the week, at early dawn, they came to the tomb, taking the spices that they had prepared. They found the stone rolled away from the tomb, but when they went in, they did not find the body. While they were perplexed about this, suddenly two men in dazzling clothes stood beside them. The women were terrified and bowed their faces to the ground, but the men said to them, “Why do you look for the living among the dead? He is not here, but has risen." -- Luke 24:1-5

We had a lovely and meaningful service with Petrie Memorial UMC. This year we tried a little something different and had a time of fellowship and reflection in the fellowship hall immediately following service. We were blessed to share special music and fellowship as we jointly reflected on this most meaningful week and event: When Christ had his Last Supper and died on the cross. BUT the story does not end there....Sunday is coming!!!
Palm Sunday! “As he approached Jerusalem and saw the city, he wept over it and said, ‘If you, even you, had only known on this day what would bring you peace…’” – Luke 19:41-42
